Teardrops for Raindrops

A walk in Kilomoni

Tonight I sit in a hotel room while outside a horrific thunder and lighting storm rages with high winds and a whole bunch of rain. I can only imagine the plight of those beautiful, yet desperate people I left two days ago in the Kilomoni camp of Congo who surely are only trying to hold their tents together and stay dry, hoping for this night to pass quickly (written while I was in Uvira).

These poorest among the poor have been abandoned by all except GHIM and we want to help!  Our team has looked into the costs of new tarps to replace the battered and torn existing shelters.   Building a new tent structure costs $60 per family.  We are trying to reach a goal of $3,600 to help 60 of the most vulnerable families.  If you would like to help please click on this link: Donate and designate funds for “Uvira Flood Victims”.   To date we have approximately $2,400!  Please pray about how the Lord may want you to help.
